Guide To The Perfect Pre Waxing Salon Preparation

About to Get Waxed? Here is What To Do!

We strongly recommend that your leave your hair to grow for at least one or two weeks, without shaving or waxing, before you book your new appointment at your favourite waxing salon!

You need to have at least a quarter of an inch (63cm) of hair before your next waxing appointment. Any shorter & your wax will be much more painful than usual, plus your waxing therapist will be unable to remove all of your unwanted hair.

We have found that our waxing clients see some of the best waxing results (aka super smooth bump & hair free skin), when they have exfoliated really well the day of their appointment.

Exfoliating in the shower on the day of your appointment can really help to remove dead skin cells & lift up trapped hair follicles so that they are ready to be waxed away!

If you are worried about your wax being slightly painful, we would recommend taking over-the-counter pain relief tablets such as Paracetamol or Ibuprofen about 30 minutes before your appointment.

Your pain relief should start to work right before your waxing treatment is about to begin & should really help to reduce any discomfort you feel at your waxing salon.
